'EKATA-SHARJAH' HONOURS THE UNSUNG HEROES OF 2020

Ekata-Sharjah conducted an online event on Friday,15th January, honouring the medical front line workers, who have tirelessly supported in fighting the covid-19 pandemic. Ekata’s humble attempt of saying ‘we remember’ to the saviours of human race who demonstrated ‘we care’ in these difficult times was witnessed.

The chief guest of the function was Sri.Uttam Chand-Consul (Visa & Community Affairs), Consulate of India, Dubai. Welcome speech was delivered by Sri. Shial Ayyathan, Ekata Welfare Committee Joint Convenor followed by the Presidential speech by Sri.C.P Rajeev Kumar, Ekata President. The event was honored by Dr.Asmaa Mohammed Amer, Specialist Haematologist & Deputy Medical Director of Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center, MOH, Sharjah, Dr.Narayan, Chief Medical Officer, Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission, Attapady and Sri.J.Ganesh Kumar, Middle East Core Committee member of FOI, Dubai , Middle East Coordinator for Shrinidhi Rehabilitation Initiatives and a leading social worker in the Middle East region.

A Presentation and a short film was shown, honouring the Doctors and the Para Medical staff. Ekata General Secretary Sri.Vinod Nambiar gave a brief description about Ekata Covid relief activities. Felicitation speech was delivered by FOI President Sri.Mohan, and Dr.Satheesh Krishnan, Al Qasmia Hospital, Sharjah. Vote of thanks was delivered by Sri. Krishna Das, Ekata Welfare Committee Convenor.
